This book describes how the APA (American Psychological Association) ethics code could be revised through a theoretically-consistent reworking of its major principles. The aim of the proposed changes is to create greater clarity for practitioners toward understanding the ethics making process and dealing successfully with new ethical dilemmas. The code is compared with those of similar organizations to gain perspective on the issues involved, and to arrive at a useful foundation for making ethical decisions.
