Optical code division multiple access communication networks: theory and applications
Yin, H.
Richardson, D.J.
Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) Communication Networks technology will play an important future role in the networking of optical access and metropolitan networks and the implementation of optical signal multiplexing and label switching on the backbone network. This book introduces the encoding and decoding technology of OCDMA, the theory and methods of analyzing OCDMA systems and realizing multiple-class services with different bit rates and QoS, and data transmission security by OCDMA. OCDMA communication protocol, networking and the up-to-date experimental results on systems and networks are also reported. A large number of encoding/decoding examples and many analysis and simulation results of performance codes and systems are given. Dr. Yin is an Associate Professor at Peking University, China, and a visiting research fellow with the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) of the University of Southampton,UK. Introduces the encoding and decoding theory and methods of OCDMA systematically with many examples Presents the theory and methods of analyzing OCDMA systems deeply and systematically and shows a large number of simulation results Reviews the most current research results on OCDMA technology INDICE: Chapter 1 Introduction.- Chapter 2 One-Dimension OCDMA Codes.- Chapter 3 Two-Dimension OCDMA Codes.- Chapter 4 OCDMA Communication System.- Chapter 5 OCDMA Networks and Applications.- Chapter 6 Security of OCDMA Networks.
