Fuel cell science: theory, fundamentals, and biocatalysis
Wieckowski, Andrzej
Norskov, Jens
The objective of this book is to provide a modern, comprehensive problem-solving compendium that can help us to meet meet present and upcoming challenges in fuel cell science and technology worldwide. The topics selected are covered comprehensively--it hopes to inspire and invite scientists to think about future of fuel cell technology with the premise that basic scientific concepts gave rise to fuel cell science and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. The chapters include description of recently developed strategies for the design, preparation and characterization of catalytic materials for fuel cell electrodes, especially for new fuel cell cathodes. The methodology described includes a wide spectrum of theoretical and computational methods with the aim of developing new fuel cell catalysis concepts and improving existing designs to increase their performance.
