Environmental Nanotechnology: Implications and Applications
Turan, Nouha Bakaraki
Engin, Güleda Onkal
Bilgili, Mehmet Sinan
This volume focuses on the implications and applications of Environmental Nanotechnology. It presents first the various methods used for the production and characterization of nanoparticles. The subsequent chapters focus on the toxicological features of Nanotechnology usage and mainly their impact on water, wastewater treatment plants and air pollution. The major parts of the volume, however, discuss the benefits of nanoparticles usage in different environmental applications fields such as groundwater remediation, soil remediation, air pollution, water and wastewater treatment plants. Finally, the last two chapters consider the management of nanotechnology in solid waste and the available policies and implementations needed for the applications of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology impacts different environmental fields The benefits of Nanotechnology usage in the treatment of groundwater, water, wastewater, air, and soil-like environmental compartments Available management and policies for the regulation of nanotechnology usage INDICE: PrefaceNouha Bakaraki Turan, Mehmet Sinan Bilgili and Güleda Onkal EnginNanoparticles: An overviewNouha Bakaraki Turan1.
