The research presented here represents an international who’s- who of leading experts in current research on big data, econophysics and complexity research. This volume aims to gather current knowledge about laws and models in various fields, and as well attempting to assimilate and synthesize these models to incorporate the latest data, and on a larger scale, for all related models to fit within an integrated grand-model for society. Big data analyses have uncovered many empirical laws hidden in our society and economy. Mathematical models have been introduced successfully explaining the empirical laws as typically seen in the new field of econophysics. The authors aim at establishing models and simulations of the whole society, which can directly contribute to the industry as well as help in decision making.
