Integral methods in low-frequency electromagnetics
Solin, Pavel
Dolezel, Ivo
Karban, Pavel
The aim of this book is to summarize the current state-of-the-art knowledge on integral methods in low-frequency electromagnetics. It includes theory as well as many examples, which will be attractive for the electrical engineering community. Historically, integral methods have been used much less frequently in computational electromagnetics compared to PDEbased models. The authors develop and illustrate on practical examples a novel integral approach which for some problem classes is a powerful alternative to PDE-based models; the integral approach is able to avoid many difficulties of PDE-based methods. All computations presented in the book are done by means of the authors' own codes and asignificant amount of their own original new results is included. At the end of the monograph, they also discuss novel integral techniques of higher order of accuracy, which represent the future in this field. This book will attract new attention to integral methods within the electrical engineering community.
