From Arithmetic to Zeta-Functions

This book collects more than thirty contributions in Memory of Wolfgang Schwarz, most of them were delivered at the seventh International Conference on Elementary and Analytic Number theory (ELAZ) held July 2014 in Hildesheim. The various research and survey articles, ranging from the theory of arithmetical functions over diophantine problems to analytic aspects of zeta-functions, cover the broad interest of the well-known number theorist and dear colleague Wolfgang Schwarz (1934-2013) who had written over one hundred articles on the topic of number theory and related fields as well as its history. 

The reader interested in elementary or analytic number theory and related fields will certainly find many attractive topics of recent research among the different contributions from both, renown mathematicians and young scientists. In addition, some biographical articles highlight life and mathematical work of Wolfgang Schwarz.
