The Forex Trading Playbook will provide traders with a visual approach to learning about strategies and identifying profitable trading opportunities. The book will describe strategies for long-term trading, swing trading, and day trading. Within each of those timeframes, the book will provide strategies for trending markets, range-bound markets, consolidating markets, and breakouts fromcongestion. The focus will be on providing tools to identify the overall condition of the market and then on specific strategies to make money. The intent of the book is to use charts as the primary teaching tool and a lesser emphasis on explanatory text. Some of the specific strategies include finding a support point to enter a long-term trend, using momentum indicators to trade oversold and overbought markets, recognizing and trading breakouts from flag and pennant formations, and fading false breakouts. The visual emphasis will help traders to identify the markets overall condition, create an awareness of tendencies based on the condition, and to provide pattern recognition skills to recognize unfolding trade set-ups. Once the set-up is identified, Ponsi will explain how to best enter and exit the trade. The overall goal of the book will be to give traders the interpretative skills to analyze the market and to anticipate, identify, and trade recurring market patterns.
