The collection considers the growing importance of the border as a prime sitefor state activity and the impact of such activity on human rights and globaljustice. It explores how state activity on the border simultaneously creates and responds to crime, criminalizing individuals who irregularly cross borderswhile ignoring far more harmful cross border activities committed by powerfulactors.
