The book details the life of founder Master Cheng Yen, the Foundation's rapid growth and its expansion in to fields as diverse as internationaldisaster relief, bone marrow donation and environmental protection. Its charismatic founder, Cheng Yen, won the Magsaysay Award (considered the Asian Nobel Prize) in 1991 and was a Nobel Peace Prize nominee in 1993.
