Muschla (Jackson, NJ) received her B.A. in mathematics from DouglasCollege at Rutgers University and has taught mathematics in South River, New Jersey, for over twenty-five years. At South River Middle School she helped revise the mathematics curriculum to reflect the Standards of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), coordinated interdisciplinary units, andconducted mathematics workshops for teachers and parents. A recipient of the 1990-91 Governors Teacher Recognition Program award in New Jersey, she was named the 2002 South River Public School District Teacher of the Year. Along withteaching and writing, she has been a member of the state Standards Review Panel for the Mathematics Core Curriculum Content Standards in New Jersey. Gary Robert Muschla (Jackson, NJ) received his B.A. and M.A.T. from Trenton State College and taught at Appleby School in Spotswood, New Jersey, for more than twenty-five years; his specialties include mathematics at the middle school level, reading and writing. Judith and Gary have coauthored several very successfulmath activity books, including Hands-One Math Projects with Real Life Applications, The Math Teacher's Book of Lists, and Math Starters. Erin Muschla teaches 7th grade math at Applegarth Middle School in Monroe, New Jersey.
