The only authoritative resource on Adobe AIR's first full release, with content created, reviewed, and critiqued by Adobe's AIR team. Lots of resources exist for Adobe AIR and more are on the way, but most try to cover too much information for a technology that's changing rapidly. What most developers need right now is a definitive introduction to Adobe AIR: How it works and how to develop for it. Written and approved by Adobe experts who know the real story behind AIR, the information in this book comes straight from the source. Trainer, mentor, developer, blogger and presenter, Andrew Muller has been involved withthe production and development of Rich Internet Applications in Australia since 2002. Certified Adobe instructor for Flex, ColdFusion, Flash & Connect; Andrew is also an Adobe Community Expert. Andrew has written articles for the Adobe Developer Center, labs.adobe.com, Internet.au, Digital Media World, Australian Developer and International Developer magazines; is a regular blogger and feature writer for BuilderAu.com.au; and has spoken at Macromedia/Adobe related conferences both in the United States, New Zealand and Australia. Andrew Spaulding is a Systems Engineer for Adobe in Australia. He started in IT as a User Interface developer for Achilles Foundation in 2003. After migrating the UI from various Java mixes to Flex, Andrew left Achilles Foundation to become a contract Flex developer, working on multiple Flex projects throughout Australia. This then led to a career with Macromedia in October 2005, now Adobe Systems, where he provided support for customers around Asia Pacific; and more recently progressing to a technical sales role. Andrew runs a blog at www.flexdaddy.info where he contributes Flex articles and provides coding and development techniques to the community. Andrew is also a certified Adobe Flex instructor.
