This book is a reference book, that does not require the reader to read through the chapters sequentially. It will address the process to be undertaken in the stages of an entire antenna layout as well as single retrofits on a platform. All mathematical equations and formulae are explained qualatitively, so that the reader will not have to understand the complexities of complex equations in order to understand the physics of antenna placement. It explains the aspects of computational antenna modelling on structures, measurement on sub-scale models of the airframe, full-scale ground measurements, as well as in-flightmeasurements. Includes chapters on aircraft systems using antenna, restrictions Aerospace series.Thereza Macnamara has a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Microwave Physics from London University and 26 years industrial experience. She is currently BAE Systems Team Leader for IAP (Installed Antenna Performance) and the Technical Project Leader for IPAS (Installed Performance of Antenna on AeroStructures). Thisis an EU Sixth Framework Research Project with 10 partners from the UK, Netherlands, France, Germany and Spain. She has authored a previous title on antennas Handbook of Antennas for EMC as well as a number of journal and conference papers.
