With the support of the International Association of Financial Engineers, this book aims to offer both business students and financial professionals the chance to learn firsthand what it's like to be a quant today. Thirty quants willcontribute a chapter based on their own personal experiences, accompanied by a brief biography, which will include key events and the stories behind their careers. An introductory chapter writen by Schachter and Lindsey will provide a framework for the contributions, and will detail how globalization and technology created the need for and the means of the quantification of financial markets.
