Integration of green and renewable energy in electric power systems
Keyhani, Ali
Marwali, Mohammad N.
Dai, Min
This book covers the principles, analysis, and syntehesis of closed loop control of Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) converters in power electronics systems, with special application emphasis on distributed generation systems and uninterruptible power supplies. A combination of the latest developments in power semiconductor switching devices, pulse width modulation algorithms, and control devices are addressed. Two versions of a documented simulation test bed for homework problems and projects based on Matlab/Simulink are provided in downloadable Simulink models and Matlab scripts files. The first test bed will consist of a number of problems and projects for classroom teaching convenience and learning. The second simulation test bed will be based on the most recent work incontrol of power converters for the research of practicing engineers and industry researchers. These problems and projects will have detailed mathematical modeling, the solution steps and results and provides a definitive competitiveadvantage for this work. Professor Keyhani uses a significant number of tables, circuit and block diagrams, and waveform plots with Homework problems/solutions and projects that are designed for the best teaching-learning interaction. The book will also provide computer simulation programs as examples for easeof understanding and platforms for the projects.
