This collection of cutting-edge chapters contributes to the psychology of personhood especially (but not only) as applied in psychotherapy. The chapters are written from Jungian, dialogical-self, or both perspectives and give insights into the history of ideas, clinical and research applications of these perspectives in the East and West. RAYA A. JONES is a Senior Lecturer in Cardiff School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University, UK. She teaches Personality and Social Psychology, and Developmental Psychopathology. Her interests are Jungian, dialogical, and narrative approaches to self and identity. She served on the Executive Committee of the International Association for Jungian Studies. MASAYOSHI MORIOKA is a Professor in the Graduate School of Human Development and Environment, Kobe University, Japan. His main field is narrative-based approach to psychotherapy. Research concerns include common factors of therapeutic conversations, and the cultural-historical approach to personality development.
