This book examines Inclusive Growth in a range of social and economic areas in India, including physical infrastructure, vulnerable sections of the population and underdeveloped states. It provides a comprehensive study of disparity and deepens insight into understanding processes of economic and social development. SHIGEMOCHI HIRASHIMA is Professor Emeritus at Meiji-Gakuin University, Japan. He also serves as Professor at Nihon Fukushi University, Japan, and as Visiting Senior Advisor at JICA, Japan. His research interests include land and water in development economics and the economics of international commodities. . HISAYA ODA is Professor in the Faculty of Policy Science, Ritsumeikan University, Japan. His research interests are in economic development, migration theory, and South Asian area studies. He serves as a member of the international advisory board of the 'Journal of Humanity and Social Sciences' (University ofKarachi, Pakistan). . YUKO TSUJITA is an Associate Senior Research Fellow at IDE-JETRO, Japan. Her research interests include education, migration and urban development. She is currently a member of editorial board of 'Ajia Keizai' (Asian Economies).
