The content of the two volumes with the title ‘People, Population Change and Policies: Lessons from the Population Policy Acceptance Study’ is based on theDIALOG project, an international comparative analysis of PPA survey data collected in the participating countries. The DIALOG project was funded by the European Commission for three years (2003 - 2005). A co-ordinated, but nationallyfinanced PPA survey had been conducted in 14 European countries: Austria, Belgium (Flanders), Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Slovenia. The seconddata source is a Policy-Delphi study, which follows a qualitative approach - in addition to the countries mentioned above also Switzerland participated. Inthese two volumes for the first time the data from the DIALOG project will besystematically and scientifically analysed.
