The atmospheric processes in man’s direct environment – in the lower 100 – 1000 metres of the atmosphere and in areas of only several kilometres extent form the core of this book. The second edition has been adapted to developments during recent years as well as being supplemented by the newest research results. It offers fundamental information in applied meteorology such as biometeorology, agricultural meteorology, hydro-meteorology, environmental meteorology and technical meteorology, as well as for biochemistry with selected examples from these areas. Transport processes and material exchanges between the atmosphere and the earth’s surface constitute another important aspect, whereby covered and heterogenic areas receive special emphasis. The author discusses the secondary branches of theory, metrology, experimental procedure and modelling in such a way, that they can be used separately for teaching, research and in practice. Book closes the gap between meteorology and measuring methods, includes countless examples as well as supplements supplying basics relevant to understanding of the individual topics
