Europe, nations and modernity
This work offers a fresh perspective to the study of 'Europe' by placing the discussion of 'What is Europe?' and 'What is it to be European?', in a wider context of the study of modernity through a collection of nine case studies. ATSUKO ICHIJO is Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Kingston University, UK. She co-ordinates an FP7 project, 'Identities andModernities in Europe' and is a member of the editorial team of 'Nations and Nationalism'.
