A review of the MDG Process and Strategies for Inclusion of Disability Issuesin Millennium Development Goal Efforts The framework of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) will expire in 2015. In the post-MDGs era, persons with disabilities and disability issues must be an integral part of the international development agenda as the global community considers what will replace the MDGs beyond 2015. This publication is a collaborative effort by United Nations agencies, disability-related organizations and NGOs, as well as advocates and experts from around the world. It provides a "roadmap" for why and how disability can and should be included in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of development-related programmes and policies. It assesses the links between disability and poverty and explores ways to integrate disability issues into currentand future development efforts.
