A major review of New Labour's foreign policy from leading experts. This bookre-imagines policy thinking, away from Churchill's idea of Britain as at the intersection of 'three circles' (the English speaking world, Europe, and the Commonwealth) and towards a new conceptual model that takes into account identity, ethics and power. OLIVER DADDOW is Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Loughborough University, UK. His research interests are in British foreign policy, discourse analysis and interpretivist approaches to international relations. Amongst several books and articles, he is the author of 'New Labour and the European Union: Blair and Brown's Logic of History' (2011) and 'Britain and Europe since 1945' (2004). . .
