This book will examine trends in substance abuse, health behavior, and mentalhealth among active duty military personnel during the past 20 years. These findings are based on a Survey of Health Related Behaviors Among Military Personnel, conducted for the Department of Defense by RTI International since 1980.The survey is widely recognized as the most comprehensive source of information about substance abuse and health behaviors among active duty military personnel.
