The State of India’s Livelihoods (SOIL Report) is an annual publication that aims to document recent trends and address contemporary issues impacting livelihoods of the poor. It is the only document that reports the progress of both government and privately run programs on poverty alleviation and livelihoods, aggregates the experiences and challenges of the livelihoods sector and analyses case studies. The SOIL Report every year has a dedicated chapter on Livelihoods Policies which takes stock of the ongoing and emerging policy initiatives of Government of India that are in various stages of formulation and adoption. To produce the Report, ACCESS brings together a clutch of authors who have domain knowledge of the sector.
