Handbook of Photochemistry and Photophysics of Polymeric Materials provides the reader with hands-on valuable information of each subject discussed in thisarea. For each category, the fundamentals of the materials (synthesis, mechanisms, properties) are presented alongside important developments and particular applications in the field. Chapter topics range from photoinitiated polymerizations to photocrosslinking, LC polymers, LEDs, Photovoltaics, and various photodegradation and stabilization processes. This book is a useful resource forall researchers and students working on polymeric materials either prepared by or involved in photochemistry and photophysics.Norman S. Allen is a Professor and Chair of Applied Chemistry at Manchester Metropolitan University in Manchester, England. He received his BS in 1972 fromthe University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology, his Ph.D. and D.Sc. at the University of Salford in 1976 and 1983, respectively. He has published 500 papers, articles, books, and patents, and contributed over 30 chaptersto various books. Professor Allen is a member of the editorial board and a founder of the International Journal of Dyes and Pigments journal, Editor and founder of the International Journal of Polymer Photochemistry, Associate Editorof the International Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology, and Member of the Editorial Board for the International Journal of Polymer Degradation.
